 Dear Sir / Madam, 11th April, 2010. Kick 4 Kids (K4K) is a community day for kids held annually, which promotes, exercise, good health, sportsmanship and teamwork, whilst raising much needed funds for seriously ill kids. K4K originated down at the local footy park where 15 kids kicked footballs for 12 hours nonstop & raised $10 000. All funds were donated to CanTeen (Teens living with Cancer). Five years on and K4K has now grown and in 2009 there were 135 kids kicking footballs on Toyota Stadium, home to the NRL Cronulla Sharks. K4K has been a NRL One Community finalist in 2007, and 2008. Raised funds over the years have been donated to CanTeen, Telstra Care Flight for Kids & the Starlight Children’s Foundation. To date K4K has raised $100 000 for various children’s charities. Major supporters of this day include the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the NRL Cronulla Sharks, Australian Rugby League Development, the NRL One Community, and the Central Coast Bears. The K4K event in previous years has been held at Cronulla. In 2010 K4K will be striving to expand the event throughout the state of N.S.W. There still will be a K4K event at Toyota Stadium, with the number of kids to double. There will also be K4K events held on the Central Coast of N.S.W. and in the country town of Inverell in the north west of N.S.W. We are striving to make Kick 4 Kids an annual and national event. Our goal is to have as many K4K events possible, taking place around the country during the month of July. In 2010, K4K will also be hosting a seriously ill child and their family from country N.S.W. in Cronulla for a weekend. Part of the weekend will consist of attending a NRL Sharks game as VIP guests, and a two night stay at Rydges Hotel Cronulla, which has been kindly donated by Rydges Cronulla. In past years we have had media coverage from TV, Channel Nine and Channel Ten. Radio, Triple M, 2Day FM, Nova 969 and 2GB 873. Newspapers and magazines, the Daily Telegraph, Big League and St George/Sutherland Shire Leader. K4K will be pursuing media again this year for more coverage. Kick 4 Kids would like to ask for your support. Support may be given in various ways. A monetary donation helps with the costing of the day. This covers, advertising, marketing, insurances, prizes and lunch for the kids on the day. Any money donated to K4K helps the kid’s fundraising go more towards the children’s charities that we support. Alternatively any appropriate merchandise or product from your business can go towards the prizes or lunch/drinks for the kids on the day.
